Commonwealth Supported Degrees
Fees for many undergraduate and some postgraduate degrees are Commonwealth Supported and are calculated on a course by course basis. The Australian Government contributes to a portion of the cost, and students are charged the other portion of the cost. Fees are set by the Australian Government and can fall under three different fee categories. Student contribution amounts can be found here.
You may be able to defer your student contribution through HECS-HELP. HECS-HELP is a loan scheme for eligible students enrolled in Commonwealth supported places to pay their student contribution amounts. You repay your HELP debt through the Australian taxation system. You do not have to start repaying your HELP debt until your repayment income is above the compulsory repayment threshold, even if you are still studying. The compulsory repayment threshold is adjusted each year. Check your eligibility here or for more information visit the Study Assist website.
Non Commonwealth Supported Degrees
Fees for some postgraduate degrees are not Commonwealth Supported and are set by the University. The fees for this year can be found on the relevant degree page. To find out the cost of your degree of interest, please contact our Future Student Enquiries team on (08) 8302 2376 or via the online enquiry form.
